Airport Road Mixed Use Development Project

Located on Airport Road in Doha an iconic mixed-use development project arises, which consists of two seven story buildings, a hotel tower and an office tower. Upon completion the development project will include a five star hotel, a retail shopping center and office spaces. The five star hotel mentioned will house 220 rooms, a large conference center and several seminar and meeting rooms. Recreational facilities include a fitness and spa center with a gym, swimming pool, saunas and massage and beauty salons. The hotel tower features a rooftop terrace and restaurant.

XSPlatforms supplies several facade access solutions for this project. The office tower will be equipped with a 279 meter (915 feet) track for a traversing roof car with pantograph gondola. Additionally an aerial work platform is supplied to help keep the building in pristine condition.

On the hotel tower and the curved face of the office tower a system of abseil anchors is installed to allow for spider cleaning.

To help maintain the skywalk, we designed a special system with two traversing ladders, one for each side of the bridge.

Lastly we provided a rooftop fall arrest system on top of the glass canopy to allow safe access to this area. Should a worker fall, the system will catch them.
