Collins House at 466 Collins Street
Location: Melbourne, Australia
Number of units:1 traversing roof car and 3 ceiling mounted monorail systems
In recent years XSPlatforms has developed many different facade access solutions for the beautiful skyscrapers in the stunning skyline of Melbourne, Australia. The latest addition to our Australian project portfolio is a solution we designed for Collins House, one of the newest glass towers (approx. 204 m/669 ft), currently under construction at 466 Collins Street.
What makes Collins House so unique is that it is constructed on top of an existing 3-storey building which stems from the year 1908. In total Collins House will comprise over 63 luxurious residences, divided over 61 levels above the heart of Collins Street.
For the Collins House tower XSPlatforms will deliver a set of facade maintenance solutions existing out of a traversing roof car and three different monorail systems (on 3 different levels).
1 x traversing roof car with a fixed jib.
Fixed outreach of approx. 8 m (26 ft).
32 meters (105 ft) of track
Approx. lifting height of roof car: 200 m (656 ft).

3 x XS110-type ceiling mounted monorail systems.
A total of approx. 94 m (308 ft) of monorail track.
