An iconic new landmark for the city of Amsterdam is what the developer, VORM Projectontwikkeling, is calling it: the 70 meter (230 feet) tall residential tower STATE Amsterdam.

STATE Amsterdam is part of the development of a new suburb of the city, located right next to the Amstel river. STATE will comprise approx. 262 luxurious rental apartments.

In early 2017 XSPlatforms was contracted to design, manufacturer and deliver the Building Maintenance Unit for this project. The solution for this project: a single BMU solution with a traversing, fixed jib, roof car situated on the top of the tower.


  • 1 x traversing roof car with a fixed jib.

  • Fixed outreach of approx. 5,3 m (17 ft).

  • Max. luffing angle of 55 degrees.

  • 92 meters (302 feet) of track.

  • Approx. lifting height of roof car: 72 m (236 ft).
